Bexley branch
The branch offers a variety of social and leisure activities for autistic children.
Main information
Type of service: Local groups, Play and leisure
The branch offers a variety of social and leisure activities for autistic children and their families living within the London Borough of Bexley. The National Autistic Society's Bexley branch benefits from having its own cinema screenings once a month, where older films suitable for autistic children and those with a learning disability are shown. Members can enjoy exclusive inflatable swimming and flumes sessions suitable for the whole family to have fun. Other activities include soft play sessions, family fun days, family discos and "Make and Bake" sessions. The branch also holds coffee mornings during term time - an opportunity for parents/carers to get together and share experiences/difficulties. There is the opportunity to speak with one of the committee volunteers at these sessions. Once a year the branch holds a Christmas party for children and families.
