A helpline and an online directory of Mencap services in England. Designed to help people with learning disabilities and parents/carers find out what is available near them. Some of the services cater for people with autism and learning disability. You can search on the online directory for services. When you have found the services, you then telephone the helpline on 0300 333 1111. The opening hours are between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The Mencap Direct helpline advisor will talk about your needs and make sure you find the support that's right for you. You can also telephone the Mencap Direct helpline without using the online directory if you prefer. Types of service included in the directory are advocacy, education, emergency support, employment support. family support, holiday and respite, leisure and soial life, personal care, personal support workers, residential care, shared living and support at home.
