1.Registration and Sponsorship
a)     I agree to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £40 to the National Autistic Society (NAS) to secure my place in the London Landmarks Half Marathon and that this registration fee will be in addition to the fundraising amount of £350. A percentage of this income will cover the costs associated with your participation in this event and all additional funds raised will go directly towards the work of the NAS, and cannot be restricted to any particular programme, service or branch of the NAS.
b)     I understand that I must ensure that my sponsors are aware that part of my minimum sponsorship will cover my challenge costs. Some participants choose to pay their race entry costs themselves, so they can tell their sponsors that all their money is going to the NAS and ensuring that, in appropriate cases, we can recover gift aid.
c)     I understand that I must be at least 17 years old on the date of the event to enter.
d)     I agree to represent and raise money exclusively for the NAS in this event. 
e) I understand that all postal Entry Forms must arrive before the closing date for event registration. The NAS accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, illegible or mislaid entry forms.  Places are given on a first come first serve basis of when applications (both online and postal) are received by the Events Team, applicants will be informed via email or telephone if they have secured a place in the event. 

2. Health and Safety 
a)    I understand that all participants take part in the event at their own risk and agree that, as far as they are aware, are suitably fit and physically able to compete in the event. Participants who have any doubt about their health or have a medical condition that could be affected by exercise, must obtain their doctor’s approval before participating in any event. I understand that the participant is solely responsible for acting on doctor’s advice and the NAS shall not be held responsible for any injury or illness that may be caused as a result of the event.
b)    I understand that each participant is responsible for their own actions whilst attending and/or participating in the event. The NAS accepts no responsibility for the actions of the participant nor the consequences of such actions. This continues to the participant’s personal belongings, they are brought and stored at their own risk and the NAS accepts no responsibility for any items that are damaged, lost or stolen at the event. 
c)    No illegal substance, performance enhancing substances or intoxicants of any kind are permitted to be brought to the any of the NAS events or used by a participants prior or during the event. The NAS reserve the right to refuse attendance at or participation in the event to anyone who has consumed and/or have in their possession any illegal substance, performance enhancing substances or intoxicants of any kind. 
d)    The swapping or sale of race numbers is strictly prohibited for reasons of safety and primarily for identification by medical staff

3. Images and footage  
a)    I hereby agree that images or footage taken of me on at the event may be used by the NAS in future promotional material including our websites, social media and charity magazines and reports, unless stated otherwise. (If you are under the age of 18 a parent or guardian can contact the NAS on your behalf: events@nas.org.uk) 

4. Cancellations and Withdrawals 
 a)    Except in exceptional circumstances as determined by the NAS, I understand that all Registration Fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred towards a future Event. Participants who wish to withdraw from the event should inform the NAS in writing and all sponsorship forms and money collected needs to be sent directly to the NAS, and sponsors must be notified. All sponsorship monies will be retained by the NAS unless sponsors request in writing that the NAS return it to them within one month of the cancellation (not applicable for online donations).
b)    If you withdraw from the half marathon after the event console deadline which is early February and you haven’t fundraised, you will be asked to pay an administration fee of £100. This is so the National Autistic Society does not lose money invested in the event and used to support your place as we aren’t able to carry places over the next year. 
c)    I agree that through signing up to this event I am representing the NAS and abide to the charities values. The NAS reserve the right to reject at any time any applicants/participants that are poorly representing the charities values or who are believed to be fraudulent. The NAS will not be liable in any way to costs associated with the event that may be lost due to the rejection.
d)    I understand in the event that the NAS is forced to cancel the event or change the date for any reason the NAS will inform each participant as soon as possible. The participants can claim a refund of their registration fee, however they must notify the NAS in writing within 15 days of the NAS sending notification and the event cancellation. If the event start time or other details are altered, the NAS will inform participants and update the NAS website and no refund shall be granted.  
e)     I understand that if I choose to defer my place to a future event after the official console deadline has passed, I must pay a deferral fee of £20 to secure my place in a future event.  
d)    All registration fees that are not refunded will be treated as a donation to the NAS.
