Alison Reevey
Alison has taught for over 40 years in all phases of education, including mainstream and special schools, and has specialised in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for over 30 years.
Alison established and led an ASD support service commissioned by a local authority, taught within specialist ASD provision, was a vice principal in a special school and, as a Director of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a multi-academy trust, led a teaching school alliance.
Alison has delivered autism training for many years, including as a strategic partner of the Academies Enterprise Trust and as a part-time lecturer at Masters level. She has been an academic tutor on a BSc Child and Adolescent Mental Health course for several years and led a School Direct PGCE course.
Alison first undertook TEACCH training in the early 1990s and has been working as a trainer with the TEACCH Autism Program for over 20 years. She is a certified Advanced Consultant for the program.
